Feb. 05 – June 06 Legal Practitioner – Legal Department Galeries Lafayette Group (Internship 11 months, Fixed term contract 5 months)
Contract Law o Management and follow-up of any kind of contracts (exemplification/Group/genera agreement/singular) in connection with operational departments (working languages : French, English) - Drafting, negotiation and validation of contracts (Suppliers, Customers, Providers) : retailing, commissioning, supplying, trade partnership, commercial cooperation, services, informatics (software license…) and telecom, cession of rights, contracts for events, secondarily real estate law - Follow-up of contracts after signature (endorsement, avoidance) - Management of business partnership breaches (period of notice, drafting of mails, etc.) o Reforming of commercial agreements with suppliers in the context of the DUTREIL Act o Risk management, practice and consideration of binds and specificities linked to the following fields : - Competition Law / Consumer Law - Social Law / Economic Regulation - Intellectual property Law / Trademark Law / New technologies
Litigation o Analysis and administration of litigation cases (Labour Law, Business Law) : go-between with local law offices, exchange and drafting of briefs’ proposals
Economic Regulation o Counseling and help of operational executives for questions linked to the activities of the Firm : suppliers and providers negotiation, buy and sale transactions, delivery, Selling terms and conditions, prices display, sales, etc. o Validation of promotional and advertising campaign, and competition games o Consumer credit and means of payment (gift cards or certificates) o Training for processing and communication of personal data, accomplishment of CNIL requirements (Customers and employees’ index, e-mailing, commercial canvassing…) o Organization of drinking establishments licences in France, accomplishment of requirements
Legal Intelligence and internal scattering of relevant information (through written reports on current legislative and regulation concerns for operational departments)
Oct. 04 – June 05 Training legal practitioner at the Cour de Cassation (1st Court Chamber) with Prosecuting Attorney Mr. Jerry-Sainte-Rose : researches, analysis and proposal of solutions, drafting of briefs’ proposals.
