BOOKOFF Corporation is a leader in secondhand book stores and other secondhand goods stores. I have worked in Ogikubo in Tokyo for two months as part-time staff member. In Japan, a part-time job means 35 hours and more. I have been taught to clean books and put them in the right shelve in the right place. I also learned how to manage the cash office and practised it. Japanese people are very demanding concerning customers relationships. All was written in Japanese in the shop,so it was a really good way for me to improve myself in the understanding and the practise of this language during two months. The beginning was hard work but with efforts I was used to it. A great experience of Japanese management and way of doing. | |
