For my second rotation within the Sony Eurograd programme I have joined a sister company of Sony electronics to develop business in the life science applications linked with polymers microfibers. Sony DADC is based in Salzburg (Austria).

Sector: Business Management

I am part of the European Graduate Program: two rotations (each different roles) in Europe;
As part of my first assignement I have joined the Supply Chain team of UK based in Weybridge (London). Main projects are:
· Responsible for the statistical forecasting implemention (improve system with IT contacts, create procedure, present and convince product managers of its necessity) for 5 different product groups.
· Manual planning for E-vehicle models (manage procurement, contact with European supply chain, product managers, factories, sales, IT).
· Analysis of supply data for the Bravia TV group to insure its optimum working.

Sector: High Tech

Implementation of barcoding systems in manufacturing sites. Main project in Vigo (Spain), where I also learned the basics of spanish. This included training staff, configuring and installing the barcoding equipement and supporting the "Go Live" of the project.

Sector: Industry

Junior Buyer at E.L.M. Leblanc (Bosch Group) for the new heating systems at Drancy (France, Paris).
Price enquiries; following the Bosch purchasing policies, find ‘low cost countries’ suppliers; standardization of pieces; ‘make or buy’ decisions. Stay current with the evolution at the research and development, logistics, production and quality departments.

Analyst at Caltech: Californian Institute of Technology at Pasadena (nearby Los Angeles - USA)
Creation of software interface with Labview, controlling a physics laboratory instrument for Prof. Dr. Atwater. The group research focused on optimising chemical vapour deposition techniques.

Sector: Electrical and electronic industries

Multiple student jobs allowed me to develop social, managerial and commercial skills. Jobs include being a steward at the Bridgewater Hall; Management of a group of students at the university of PARIS SUD XI; logistics assistant at Carrefour; Tutoring with the association ‘Après la classe’; Sales with MGS promotion; Télé-agent for France Veil.
