The Financial Sponsors Group provides cash-flow based acquisition financing for private equity funds as well as advisory services to the financial sponsor community. The group has been involved in leveraged capital in the U.S. since 1984, committing over $11 billion to more than 300 transactions. Our New York staff consists of 15 experienced professionals combining boutique attention with the resources of a money-center bank.
Targeted industries include industrial manufacturing, basic materials, consumer products and service industries. Financing objectives include debt restructuring, acquisitions, recapitalizations, mergers and management buyouts as well as growth financing. Our investment approach is based on a thorough understanding of our portfolio companies' business models, comfort with their management teams and an assurance that they possess critical mass to compete effectively within their industry.

We also manage a portfolio of debt instruments as well as equity fund investments. Our equity partners typically have a solid investment track-record and a sizable committed fund, focusing on leveraged buyouts for mature companies with established market positions. Our strategic equity investment portfolio consists of both first-tier, brand-name funds as well as many mid-size funds.
