Within the framework of the non destructive inspection, you may need the skills of an engineer specialized in ultrasound and eddy currents. This engineer must not only have the necessary technical skills, but also be able to ensure in all autonomy the development of the processes (choice of the techniques, sensors, instrumentations, parameters, standards…). He will also have to be able to produce results, to evaluate them and to analyze them in order to draw the conclusions necessary to the improvement from the processes. Perhaps, you are looking for a real project leader available to carry out and to teach studies directly on site.
Seven months spent at EADS CRC studying eddy currents foils sensors, enabled me to gain competence in various methods. At the time of this project, I was responsible for the control of the study, from the analysis of the problems to the drafting of the support of work. Using the results obtained, I proposed an experiment plan in order to develop a checking procedure, which resulted in the manufacture of a calibration block and the development of new designs of probes. At the end of the Master’s in Non destructive testing of materials and structures of the Bordeaux university, I became competent in the multidisciplinary part of this activity, and also the transversality between the methods, in European industrial network.
SKILLS:
• Developing an experiment plan centred on the definition of the processes (parameters, sensors, instrumentation, software, feasibility study).
• Realizing calculations, modelling, and experimental tests constituting the files of technical justification.
• Writing the examination procedure and programs of qualification.
• Realizing the qualification tests of techniques and processes
• Assisting the operational teams at the time of the implementation of the processes
