Since 2006: The Barbican Centre, London (UK)

Cinema Marketing Executive
The Barbican is Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue.

The Barbican presents a year-round programme of art, music, film, theatre and education with a 1949 seat hall for concerts and conferences, two theatres, three cinemas, two art galleries, a lakeside terrace and a roof-top tropical conservatory, seven conference suites, two trade exhibition halls, three restaurants and a library; all under one roof!!

As marketing executive for the cinema, I am responsible for marketing/communication around all special film events, seasons and festivals. Those include the annual London Australian Film Festival (now in its 13th year), Animate The World, and the London Children Film Festival. Various other events are organised monthly in Barbican Cinemas, ranging from festivals on Finnish Cinema or Japanese Animation, to one-off events on Zombie films, classic composers like Dimitri Shostakovich, or Silent Films with live musical accompaniment.

This incredible diversity makes the Barbican one of the most exciting and challenging places to work for.

2006 : Musiques et Danses en Bretagne / MIDEM 2006, Cannes (France)

Music Labels Coordinator / Translator
Part of the association “Musiques et Danses en Bretagne” at the MIDEM 2006 in Cannes.

I was responsible of promoting music labels from Brittany as well as being coordinator between the different labels. I was in charge of anything regarding translation and international relations (business, promotion, …). This experience gave me a strong insight in the music industry, allowing me to create contacts and fully understand the workings of the sector.

2005 - 2006 : Britanny Film Archive (Cinémathèque de Bretagne), Brest (France)

DVD Production Manager
In close relation with the director of the Cinémathèque de Bretagne (Brittany Film Archives), I am responsible for the creation, development and distribution of a DVD label under the name “Cinémathèque de Bretagne”.

This experience gives me all the essential knowledge to manage the edition and distribution process of a film in a DVD. Having the responsibility for this project, I learn to work under tight deadlines, trust my initiatives and motivate people around me.

2005 : Brest European Short Film Festival 2005, Brest (France)

Interactive Internet Forum
Part of a small team responsible for the creation, development and practical use of an interactive Internet forum on the festival and the films in competition.

We were in charge of writing critics and reviews as well as promoting the event on the web and interacting with the public.
This experience in one the biggest short film festivals in France taught me a lot about working under pressure in a friendly, yet demanding, atmosphere.
