PURPLE LABS: Development, Design, Integration and Validation of Mobile Phones, Chambéry, FRANCE – 6 months
Subject: Develop a complete WLAN solution for GSM-GPRS-UMTS mobile phones. Technical Skills: • Understand WLAN technology (processor, base band, radio) and 802.11a/b/g/n specifications. • Define a Validation Plan. Perform a benchmark of WLAN chipsets according to cost, packaging and performance criteria. • Integrate a WLAN chipset in a mobile phone: Power supply, dependency with the OS, Clock requirements. • Implement a Radio Front End topology: balun, switch, power amplifier, filter, 2.4GHz antenna. • Test and validate a complete WLAN solution. • Study coexistence issues between WLAN and Bluetooth co-located devices: HW coexistence signalling, isolation between Bluetooth and WLAN antenna. • Characterize isolation between UMTS and WLAN. • Simulate a Compact multi-band GSM-DCS-PCS-UMTS-WLAN PIFA antenna: S11, Gain. |
