I have spent the last three years working as a financial controller in an international group. In this role I have developed my theoretical, university gained, knowledge into the practical application of accounting principles in an international manufacturing environment. I have also learnt to understand and value the importance of rigour, autonomy and a critical sense, all of which are indispensable in a controller’s role.
