Currently within a market research and consultancy role within the EAPR team (East Asian Pacific Region) based in the Ipsos Novaction head-office in Paris, I work closely with consultants facing clients in our Asian office on Unilever FMCG projects. All communication and all the work is done in English.
The studies consist in accurately analysing quantitative information extracted from detailed consumer questionnaires and simulated test environments within an Express based statistical package. The outputs are then compiled into accessible charts, sales forecasts and practical recommendations within a Power Point presentation ready to be sent to the client.
The work is entirely project-based and deadline driven so effective time management is imperative.
My skills are particularly a good communication both verbally and in writing in French and English, which is essential when liaising with international colleagues. I also have a high sense of responsibility and awareness of time difference which is also needed when working with Asia.
Being in charge of a project with deadline requires a lot of organization, particularly in difficult situation when the material provided is not at the required level. A good flexibility has consequently been acquired within my current position.
My current position is within a team of eight. Although each analyst is assigned to their personal project, a flexible team-working relationship enables the team to derive strength from one another. This is achieved by providing and receiving support, which are essential aspects for the operation of an efficient section.
