Ford Emerging Market Sourcing Team is to identify new potential cheap automotive suppliers outside the traditional US and WE supply base.

R&R:

Research, identification and assessment of automotive suppliers
Manage RFQs from Ford companies with local suppliers
Cost negotiation with local suppliers
Manage local suppliers from nomination to implementation
Maintain and update local business performance indices for Ford companies

Achievements:

Managed two successful projects (launched by LandRover/Jaguar and Ford in Turkey). Significance – $ 1,2 m cost savings achieved compared to current purchase volumes.

Established supplier database aligned to Ford global requirements, for Hungarian, Romanian, Slovenian, Serbian and Bulgarian automotive suppliers. Significance – supplier reports and profiles available to all Ford companies and Ford brands (Jaguar, Volvo, LandRover) using common measureables.

Researched competitors supply base. Significance – generation of competitive OEM’s sourcing profiles (both international and indigenous) within local market.
