I studied international business in La Rochelle, France. I spent 2 years of the 4-year course abroad. I studied a semester in Rotterdam in my second year and then carried out a semester's work experience in Stuttgart. After this, I went to Bristol, UK for a year to get a BA Business Administration. I then spent my last year back in La Rochelle where I passed my Diplôme de l'Institut Supérieur de Commerce et de Gestion (Busioness and Management degree).
My first job was bilingual recruitment consultant. I worked in a small agency in Paris where I was involved in the whole process: from writing the job adverts to sending companies our profiles. I pre-selected CVs then tested the candidates English and motivation over the phone. Then I would bring them in for an interview and type out reports on their experience and personality. The agency was quite high profile as we worked for big names in fashion, perfumery, beverages and large anglo-american law firms. I left this job for salary reasons.
Currently I work in a computer services company as a communication assistant in Rennes, Brittany. My job involves carrying out secretarial tasks for the general manager and dealing with communication on a local level in Brittany (trade fair participation, event organisation, contact with press and organisations). I also translate documents for my manager and generally any colleagues who need me to. The documents are often very IT specific.
