I've worked over the last 15 years in strategic planning, marketing and business development roles in the United States, Europe and South America. Based in France for the last 7 years, I've helped European start-ups develop their business, as a company founder and as the initiator of new business lines.

My current activities include,

- helping online and mobile startups get their footing through early-stage business planning, seed and venture capital fundraising and local and international business development;

- helping companies develop their collective intelligence through lightweight collaborative systems, business social software and other technologies of cooperation;

- helping Brazilian companies develop key distribution channels in Europe.

I'm also associated with The Middlebrook Group, a US-based marketing, advertising and public relations firm, where I advise clients on developing market presence in the United States, identifying key channel partners and creating new international distribution channels.

Most recently, I consulted to a major promotional marketing company on its marketing and sales strategy in France. Prior to that, I developed new services and distribution channels for the French market for a mobile content company.

Previously, I directed business development efforts at online media and mobile content companies. I set up the opt-in marketing business in France, Germany, Austria, Spain and the UK for Buongiorno-Vitaminic. I also co-founded E-Mail Vision, the first European ASP (application services provider) for online permission-based direct marketing programs in France, the UK and Germany.

Previously, while at Towers Perrin, I advised leading companies on strategy and organization, including Chevron Oil, General Motors, Corning Saint-Gobain / Eurokera, British Airways, Repsol, VISA, Borealis, Nortel Networks, Le Parisien and Air France.

An Insead MBA, December 1994 promotion, I'm fluent in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Finnish. I graduated with a double major in Economics and International Marketing from the University of Miami in 1990 and have lived in the USA, UK, France, Brazil, Finland, Russia and Portugal.
