If you use Outlook 2000 (or a later version) and Microsoft Explorer version 6.0 (or a later version), you can easily import your contacts into Viadeo.

Please note:If you do not see the email addresses of your contacts in the Outlook Address book, you must restart Outlook and ask them to be displayed by going to the Display menu: Current Display and by selecting "Detailed Contact Card".
Why import your Outlook Address Book? |
Find out which of your contacts are already Viadeo members - your contacts who are already members will have an icon 
next to their name.
You can also easily and rapidly invite your contacts directly from your Address Book.
How can I import an Outlook contact? |
Go to the 'Invitations > Address Book: Import Outlook' page. Your Outlook Address Book will appear in the rectangular area on the left of the screen.
Click on a contact, and drag and drop the contact into the green coloured area. The contact will then appear in the table under the green coloured area.
Do not forget to click on "Import these contacts to my Viadeo address book" button to import your contacts into Viadeo.
How do I import several Outlook contacts? |
Simply select several contacts in your Address Book before transferring them to the green coloured area.
Hold Shift key to select multiple contacts in a continuous order.
Hold Ctrl key to select multiple contacts on the list.
Click 'Import these contacts to my Viadeo address book'.
How can I import all of my Outlook Contacts? |
Use Ctrl + A to select all contacts.
Common problems and potentials solutions |
I couldn't import Outlook contacts. |
If the contents of your Address Book are not displayed, it is because a component provided by Microsoft has not been installed on your computer. This component will normally be automatically downloaded from the Microsoft Website, which can take up to 5 minutes.
Nothing happens when I try to drag my contacts into the green coloured area |
Make sure that you drag and drop into the green coloured area.
If the message '0 contacts selected' appears, it is because the contacts selected do not have an email address or they do not appear in your default Outlook display. In the latter case, restart Outlook, open your list of contacts and request that email addresses be shown (Display Menu: Current Display: detailed Contact Card). You can then restart importing your contacts.
