Manage your contacts by going through Home > Your Contacts.

There are 5 tabs under 'Contacts':

• 1. Your Contacts: Members you are connected to. You share your network with them. They can ask you to introduce them to your other contacts.
• 2. Successful invitations: List of contacts you successfully invited to join Viadeo
• 3. Address book: Contacts imported from your address book but you have not invited them to join. You can import your address book from Outlook or import from a file and webmail .
  
  Importing your address book helps you find people you know on Viadeo, then invite the rest of your contacts to increase the size of your network.
• 4. Pending invitations: List of persons you have invited who have not yet accepted your invitation.
• 5. News feed: Your contacts' recent activities, for example, joining a forum, post message in a forum or connecting to another member.

The more direct contacts you have, the more opportunities you have to contact another Viadeo member quickly. In other words, by increasing your network, you increase your opportunities of getting recommended or finding new contacts.

Invite people you know to become your contacts on Viadeo. All you need is their email addresses. Ways to invite your contacts:

• To invite one person: Use the link 'Invite a person' on the 'Your Contacts' page. Enter the email address, personalise the message and then send the invitation.
• To invite multiple people: Use the link 'Multiple people' on the 'Your Contacts' page. Enter the email addresses, personalise the message and then send the invitation.
• To invite multiple people without having to manually enter email addresses: Start by filling out your address book, either manually or by using the link 'Your Contacts > Are they on Viadeo?'. You can also import your Outlook address book or Webmail or import your addresses from a file .
  
  Once your address book is completed, you can invite contacts one by one using the 'Invite' link or invite multiple people. Check the box next to their names and click on the 'Invite Selection' button. Personalise the message and then send the invitation.

We recommend that you invite all the members that you know well and connect to those are already a member.

You need to know the email addresses of the contacts you invite.

Depends on if they are members of Viadeo or not

• Already a member: they can simply accept or decline your invitation. If it is accepted, you will become contacts.
• Not a member: they will receive an email with links for your profile and invitation.

Your contact may be registered with a different email from the one you know. Two things may occur:

• The member may have listed the other email address (Preferences > Email and password), in which case they will receive your invitation in their Inbox as they normally would.
• The member has not entered the second email address. In this case, Viadeo wouldn't know if person is already a member. The member is considered as a new member and is sent a registration form. This member can click on the 'I already have an account' located at the top of the form. After signing in, they will be directed to your invitation.

So, if you regularly use a different email address, please let us know by going to 'Preferences > Email and password'.

If you receive an invitation on an email address different from the one you used to register, do not fill out a new registration form but click on the link "I already have an account" on the form.

Invitation is sent to people not using Viadeo to invite them to join the network.

Connect with people you don't know through Connection Requests or by going through your contacts by sending Introduction Requests.
